Oumy has produced video content for the 2024 Abidjan International Book Fair, showcasing her expertise in literary promotion and multimedia. Kenya Sahara Abdi Sahara Abdi is a literacy advocate, writer, and founder of Northern Voice Trust, championing education for pastoral and marginalized children in northern Kenya. Drawing from personal experience, she creates literature to represent and inspire these communities. Her works, including Araweelo, A Boy Named Salah, and My Brother With the Colourful Brain, have been translated into Somali, Afar, Swahili, and French. Sahara’s stories also feature in African anthologies, highlighting her dedication to literacy and inclusion across the continent.
