Learn More Cote d'Ivoire Keïta Oumy Korotoum Oumy Keïta is a former book ambassador for an Ivorian publishing house. She is passionate about audiovisual communication and content creation. She is the creator of the literary podcast Cocon Spirituel and also works as a videographer. Oumy has produced video content for the 2024 Abidjan International Book Fair, showcasing her expertise in literary promotion and multimedia. Kenya Sahara Abdi Sahara Abdi is a literacy advocate, writer, and founder of Northern Voice Trust, championing education for pastoral and marginalized children in northern Kenya. Drawing from personal experience, she creates literature to represent and inspire these communities. Her works, including Araweelo, A Boy Named Salah, and My Brother With the Colourful Brain, have been translated into Somali, Afar, Swahili, and French. Sahara’s stories also feature in African anthologies, highlighting her dedication to literacy and inclusion across the continent. Burkina-Faso Marcelline Compaore Marcelline is a third-year student in business communication from Burkina Faso. A passionate animator for young children and adolescents, she is also a poet. Marcelle has actively participated in various literature-related activities (reading, storytelling, theater, etc.) with children and adolescents. In addition, she has held several positions, including President of the adolescent group of the ICCV (Initiative Communautaire Changer la Vie Nazeremse).She is also the promoter of "Pendo Workshops," an initiative aimed at promoting reading among younger audiences. Togo Ami Dovene Christelle Zami Christelle Zami is an author, interpreter-translator, and educational consultant known for her Ami Series, inspiring environmental awareness in children. She excels in linguistic mediation and develops curricula promoting environmental and multilingual education, reflecting her commitment to nurturing young minds and sustainable learning. Tunisia Ahlem Mahmoud Driss Ahlem Mahmoud Driss is a Tunisian publisher, speech therapist, president and child psychologist. Her publishing house, Celi Editions (present in Tunisia and Senegal), publishes educational and early-learning books and works for parents, with a constant concern for quality. Its aim is “to introduce toddlers to reading by offering suitable books at affordable prices”.
