Position: App Visibility and Outreach Specialist 

Duration: 1 year

Reports to: Head of Marketing & Chief Operations Officer


We are seeking a proactive App Visibility and Data Specialist to enhance the visibility of the MK App in diasporan and African markets. The ideal candidate will focus on increasing organic traffic, securing backlinks, and generating buzz around our apps through various online channels. This role includes a variable remuneration component based on performance metrics.


Key Responsibilities

Increase App Visibility

• Develop and execute strategies to improve the app's online presence and discoverability, especially in the diaspora.

• Optimize search engine and app store visibility through SEO and ASO techniques.


Link Building and Backlink Acquisition

• Identify and secure high-quality backlinks from reputable websites, blogs, and forums.

• Build relationships with webmasters, bloggers, and influencers for link placement and content collaboration.


Content Outreach and Partnerships

• Create and distribute engaging content (articles, press releases, guest posts) to promote the app.

• Collaborate with educational platforms, parenting blogs, and kid-focused communities for app promotion.


Traffic Generation

• Implement strategies to drive targeted traffic to the app landing and download pages.

• Utilize social media, forums, and online communities to increase app awareness.


 Performance Tracking and Reporting

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as website traffic, backlink count, and referral sources.

• Provide regular reports on visibility improvements and suggest adjustments to strategies.


Collaborative Initiatives

• Work closely with the marketing and development teams to align outreach efforts with app updates and features.

• Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for visibility.


QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 4 years in digital marketing, SEO, outreach, or a related field.

• Proven experience increasing online visibility and traffic for digital products or services.

• Strong understanding of SEO, link building, and content marketing strategies.

• Excellent communication and outreach skills in English.

• Proficiency with SEO tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, or similar platforms.

• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with external partners.

• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.

• Interest in educational technology and the children’s app market is a plus.


Compensation

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience.


 Variable Remuneration:

• Percentage increase in organic traffic to app pages.

• Growth in app visibility rankings on search engines and app stores.
